About Us.

Philip McBurney Racing is located in Co. Antrim, N. Ireland, nestled in the foothills of the iconic Slemish mountain, its rural and peaceful setting is easily accessible to Northern Ireland’s major roads, air and seaports. The all-new Caherty Stables boast superb facilities, including a privately-owned all-weather gallop, horse walker, lunging pen, schooling hurdles and fences, with dedicated and friendly staff. We pride ourselves on running a highly professional operation wherein all of our horses, owners and staff are very well looked after.

Facilities.

Philip McBurney Racing is located in central Northern Ireland providing easy access to racing gallops in the North and South of Ireland.

As a training centre, we have a 2.5 furlong circular track with a 2.0 furlong straight. This gallop is available to hire by the hour. We also offer horse breaking services, pre-training, race horse training, national hunt and point to point training. We have a selection of stables to hire as well as bloodstock sales.

Located close to Belfast International  airport and Larne port, Philip McBurney Racing is conveniently positioned for those travelling from the British Isles and more afar.

Our Philosophy.

Our team believes that a successful training program is one that accounts for the best interest of the horse, strives to achieve the goals of the owners, and is based on core principles of sound horsemanship, but always in pursuit of knowledge to stay progressive in its approach.
